Need help on the steps showing on Article #188

I am trying to follow the instruction shows on

but it failed to do what it claims, why?

 

I am using winXP as my OS.

I have created both on the server and my own hard drive with a new folder called Testing in catalog/images

 

one image called test.jpg in c:/myshop/catalog/images

 

use the admin tools to add new item, on the image, used browse and filled in c:/myshop/catalog/images\test.jpg. it doesn't make the image point to Testing/test.jpg

 

did I do anything wrong.. sorry for my error if I did anything stupid. :P
