The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
lisalovlee33 Posted August 11, 2004 Posted August 11, 2004 I'm not sure if I can answer your question, but from my experience, there's also a few different templates in my directory. Since I'm using Original, I use the Original directory. But here's a tip for you and anyone reading this. I find this extremely useful, at least to me. I backed up all my files and renamed all the .php files to .txt So, for instance if I want to locate a string (to change, modify, etc), simply type that string into the search box for windows explorer. It'll usually come back and tell you exactly what file it is where this string is located. I then change the relevant .php and works everytime. I was also confused in the beginning because of the various templates, but I think plain OSC is original (you must also specify that in ADMIN that you're using Original template). At least from my experience, that's what it is for the "plain" osc template. Don't pull your hair out, I completely understand your frustration, but once you get the hang of it, it's not that complicated. Good Luck!
