problems backing up database....

i am building a store for a client of mine on a different domain then the one it will go live on. this morning i moved the store and it's database to the new domain. everything is working fine, was able to upload the database to the new domain and restore from it BUT when i try to backup the database on the new domain i get this error message:

the databases on each domain had different names with different login and passwords. anyone know why i'm getting this error message and how to fix it?

can anyone help with this? i've tried deleting the mysql database and creating a new one, i've also tried a clean install of oscommerce and no luck. i installed oscommerce on another domain of mine to test it out and everything installed fine and now i am having nothing but problems installing it on the new domain.
