Need Some Security Advice

Hi, I have had a problem getting the buttons to display, some did, some didn't. Well I have checked out a couple of forums and changed the file permissions on the /cart/includes directory from 700 to 755. Now all the buttons display correctly. Can anyone tell me if it will cause any type of security problem changing it from 700 to 755???? Thanks

1st number is for owner, 2nd is for group, 3rd is for public/etc

 

700=total access for owner, no access for everyone else

 

755=total access for owner, read and execute access for everyone else.
