Me and another competing vendor sell similar products on Ebay. I recently reported him to one of my manufaturers because he was selling below the minimum allowed price. Well now after a year ebay is suddenly warning me over every auction I have doing because I have links to my site in the text of the auction.

What I am wondering is what is allowed....because there email was wordy.

Here how my old auctions looked..

Here is one I revised to how I think their rules work...

Their email says that that an email address in the text is okay. I saw nothing about having a logo, but I assume it is okay because it does not say the whole url.

Anyone know more?

eBay sucks that way. They have more rules than anyone could ever possibly imagine.

They do clearly state that you may not place links to outside sites within your auction. I think your revised auction page is fine, though I have seen eBay complain about any outside linked images as well. (It cuts into their profits if you don't host your images on their site.)

They have their policies on the website somewheres, you should look at them. Yes, they clearly state that you can't have links to your site; however, you can have a link to a page where you provide additional information on an item (I remember reading this a while ago, browse their policies document to see if you can find it). Clearly your first ad was against their policy, there were many blatent links to your site. You can give people other means to find you, like stating your buisness name and saying you have many more items on your website. If they are interested they'll be smart enough to do a Google search on your name. Also, eBay has an about me page where you can link to your site. Not sure if you have that filled in, if not you should do it.

My biggest issue is my competitor. Because I turned him in to the manufacturer for selling to low, now I think I will hear something every time sonething is remotly close.

Thanks for the advise guys...
