Payment thrugh Credit Cards

Hi a friend of mine would like to know the following:

 

when buying a item off a oscommerce cart by using a credit card does it go through your servers and does the person who owns the website have to pay if it does, if not how does it all work.

Look at the payment mods. You choose who you want, paypal, authorize.net, echo-inc, or one of many others. Those transactions have nothing to do with osc directly.
