Download Acting weird on Mac OS

I have my store set up to download an item, but when the item is trying to be downloaded on a Macintosh, all the user gets is lines of Code in the browser window, instead of a download dialog like you should. Windows users seem to have no problem with downloading, but on a Macc there is something Wrong.

I have a .pdf and a .zip file that can be downloaded, both are doing this. is there a place in the configure or download.php that could have got messed up?

Perhaps adding:

header('Content-Transfer-Encoding: binary');

as the last one in download.php might help?

Thanks JanZ, I actually just figured out a simple fix, on a mac when you right click and choose download as, there is no problem in downloading.

 

Thanks for the tip though, I may have to try it out.
