Catagory headers

Hi,

Stumbled into another problem and after trying several things myself without succes and having had a search through all docs available I'm still stumped.

I've created several catagories, each with sub-catagories. When I click on the first catagory 'Electronics' it opens the page up and it shows the sub-catagories without problems, but the header of that page reads 'Catagories' instead of the catagory name 'Electronics'. I've found that to be the case in every catagory I've created.

Is there a way to show the catagory name in the header on the page with the sub-catagory's on?

Thanks.

Roger, can you put PM me the URL of your test site and I'll go and have a look. If there's something I can do I'll post my findings here and PM you back.

I would love to, but my server hasn't been delivered yet, so my test site is currently only running on my PC, with the help of EasyPHP. So unfortunately I can't send you to it. However, here's a piccie of the site, when I've click on the first catagory, namely 'electronics':

As you can see, the header still says 'Catagories', rather than 'Electronics' which is what I would've expected.

I got it working on the first option listed on the page you quoted, The_Bear. I have overlooked the fact the I had to change two instances of HEADING_TITLE in the catalog/index.php file. The catagories are now displayed properly. Hurrah! And thanks so far.

I do have an additional question though. Can I get this working for the subdirectories as well?

Never mind. Just fixed it, by combining the two options. Instead of just changing two instances of HEADING_TITLE in catalog/index.php as stated in the first option on the wiki pages, I changed the third one as well, et voila... works like a charm... :D

One fascinating side-effect though: All of a sudden the word 'catalog' has appeared on the main page... Now if someone knows how to tackle that one, I'll be home-free.

I keep finding solutions that only solve half the problem.

I've now experimented with the second option and got it working. No more mention of 'Catalog' on the main page (hurrah) and the catagories have their name above it too. (Yippee). Still not completely happy though, as all the subcatagories have the same header as the main catagory. For example i have the catagory 'Electronics', with subcatatory 'Batteries'. When I go into the main catagory it displays the name 'Electronics' perfectly. However, when I go into the subcatagory it still displays the name 'Electronics' and not 'Batteries', which is what I'm after...

I know I'm getting closer to a solution but I really would like to solve this little prob too. Any suggestions anyone?

Got it! Small adaption makes all the difference.

My apologies for the many posts, guys, but actually I do have to admit that I'm rather chuffed that despite me constantly asking I did figure it out by myself in the end. B)

Thanks!
