Worldpay transaction fine - but no order from OSC

I have has an order come through from Worldpay informing me of a purchase and the money has gone into my account, but no order details have come through from the Cart - This is the first time this has happened to me - and I have changed nothing in the set up since the last successful sale - any ideas as to why this should have happened?

It happens sometimes if your site is going very, very slow or if the customer is new to on-line shopping and clicks away too quickly. By default orders are only recorded once the customer returns. Personally I find I get one of these a week on average. See the worldpay support thread

Is there any way of finding out what the client ordered within OSc, as Worldpay does not supply this information.

I have a customer who also suffers this problem. What I did to try to alleviate it:

 

- installed a contribtion that logs the order (to a holding table) before they leave the customers site

- changed the worldpay contribution to re-direct in 2 seconds rather than 10 seconds

 

I did contract a member of the Core Team to make proper functionality changes to the core code, however I have been let down by him. This is ongoing - so if the code ever does appear from him I will post it up in the contributions section.

 

Don't hold your breath though as I have been waiting for about 4 months for the code to appear.
