oedel Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I want to set up a store for renting and buying clothes. for example: i have a nice dress and want to offer the following: buy it for 50?, rent it for a week for 10 ?. how can i do this? i have already looked all forums but i havent really found a solution. :( if this is possible, i would like to do an extra feature. is it possible to show the price for renting the dress for one day (in my example 1,43 ?)? but iot should only be possible to rent it for a week. thanks a lot for your very big help!
♥ecartz Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 You can do this with Product Attributes. For example, set up the dress with a price of 50; set up an attribute for weekly rental with a relative price of -40. You may want to use the Actual Attribute Price contribution to make it show absolute prices rather than relative prices. You can just put the cost per day in the product description. oedel Posted August 5, 2004 Author Posted August 5, 2004 thank you very much, good idea! seems to work for me!
oedel Posted August 5, 2004 Author Posted August 5, 2004 uuups, nearly works. the only thing that is not nice with this solution: when opening an article, there is always the attribute "buying price" preselected and displayed, but i want the "rental price" on this position. i have already tried with setting a number in front of the attribute name, but this doesnt help, he always display the most expensive attribute first. and in articleinfo.php i havent found a possibility to tell him to start with the lowest price. could you help me once more? test: www.kerstins-landhausmoden.de there is only one article in the store for testing purposes.

Go to www.dvdmoviestogo.com. It's a movie rental that I customized using a CRE platform. This site does just about anything you want when it comes to renting products. For instance, it has a Point Of Sale (POS) system in the admin for doing offiline sales, customer award point system, tracks where and when the product is due back, applies late fees if the rental is late, and has a very detailed accounting reporting system. These are just a few of the custom features. www.dvdmoviestogo.com If you have any questions, email me at [email protected]
