ozcsys Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 what is the best addition to add multiple images to each product??thanks chris There are a couple of contributions that will do that I would look at them and see which one would best fit your needs. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
Gersh_ny Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 I personally tried a few of the contributions the one I thought works best is this "Sm,Med,and Lg Images" http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...rch,Sm%2CMed%2C it will require you to create three sized images for each product but it is simple and best fit for regular product web sites.
iainshaw Posted August 4, 2004 Posted August 4, 2004 Ultra Pics I'm a big fan of this contribution. I'm using it on my store at the moment. If you want to see it in use there are a couple of screenshots in the downloaded .zip file. If you want to see it on my store - still in test, no orders are being processed - check here The Real Games Company
Guest Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 the ultra pics is very nice, but I have no clue how to run the mysql stuff.. Any pointers??
iainshaw Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 to run the SQL scripts the friendliest thing to have to hand would be phyMyAdmin. Is this something your hosts have to offer in their package, if so then write back and we can work through how you can use it to make this a lot easier. If they don't have phpMyAdmin, how are you doing anything to your database. What tools does your webhost offer? happy to help
Guest Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 I do have PHP my admin, but I havent ever done anything to my data base.. I guess that was all set up when I got the hosting package. Take a look at my site.. it is badly in need of more pictures of each product. www.winksonline.com
iainshaw Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 just got back from a trip - man - and I need to go to bed right now will look tmrw and give you a shout. I think you need some form of image solution, the site loads VERY slowly. If you've got acess to phpMyAdmin things will be relatively trivial to od cheers Iain
