Engraving Information Order Form

Hello:

I am new to the forum, maybe this question has been asked if so please point me in the right direction.

I have a web site that sells dog tags. We make the dog tags and custom imprint your information on the tags. Is there a form that can be added to the osCommerce package so that customers can input their custom inprinting information? The fields would have to be limited to 15 characters wide and 5 lines deep as this is the window I have to work with on the dog tags themselves.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You very much for your suggestion. In reviewing the documentation it appears that your suggestion is the perfect solution to my situation.

I appreciate the quick response and I am happy to see that I am not the only one who has encounted this problem.

The addition of purhaser/customer authored text fields is a wonderful item to have and will intergrate nicely into my overall store eliminating needless additional forms.

Thank You

Hello, im also new to this forum :)

And i would like to achieve almost te same. (a little more complicated)

I would like to sell custom made name tags.

i had the following in mind:

1 Customer chooses the material (price per cm?)

2 Customer enters the dimension (total price is automaticly calculated)

3 Customer can upload their own design in CAD format

4 Checking of the entered dimensions, and the dimensions of the uploaded design.

5 Payment

Is this possable with oscommerce? and the above mentiond plugin?

I've downloaded the form.

Will installing it change any settings I've already made? I'm just getting started but have my store pretty configured -- name, location, tax base, and so on.

Thanks!

Hi I have also installed Product Attributes - Option Type Feature

does anyone have the fix for more than 2 or 4 attributes being parsed by paypal ipn

the contribution works just dandy until you need to use paypal,

I am trying to get 8 or 9 different attributes/options to pass through to paypal and back, and thus show in invoice and extra emails and order notifications etc,

at the moment the paypal ipn updates the order data with the confirmed order dat and overwrites the original data, but with only two attribites the rest just say TEXT, I know there is a workaround using concantenation but it includes javascript, (see here), Is anyone able to convert or write the same in php? for either the osc ipn or the paypal shopping cart ipn,

I am also trying elsewhere to get a fix sorted, will post if successful

good luck all for 2005

Here's a fix that I put into action a little while ago. It's not as elegant as what you others might come up with, but it works!

My site (woefully unfinished as of today) is The Canine Locus Store. If you go to the Collar choices, you'll see that I found a way to link to another page on the site. It contains a standard HTML form through which I can gather the info needed to produce the item.

Here's the code that goes into the OSC page:

<p>Visit <a href="http://www.caninelocus.com/store/Collar.html" target="new"><font color="blue">the collars order page</font></a> to provide your personalizing information.</p>

I colored the text blue so it would be more noticeable.

Please let me know if you have better ideas. I'm always open for suggestions!

Thanks,

Susan
