Need help on what's new? box

GUYS, I have added hundreds of product for this month and there are last 9th products that shown in the New Product for August box, that's normal, of course.

 

But in the what's new box, it selects only the last 9 products, that I just added them. It won't randonly select the whole product for this month.

 

I don't know, that's normal, or it's weird... Any expert, please let me know, if it's not normal, please gimme some advise.

Whats New isnt random, it will show the last added to the db, you can make it random by adding to new_products.php in includes/modules a bit of code, its a rand command but I have not got the code do a search for this in forum.
