Hey guys, this is my first oSC store. I haven't added products yet but will be doing so soon...just wanted a preliminary aesthetic review of my site before I start adding products. Please give me all the feedback you have and there's no need to hold back =). Anyone have any contributions they reccomend for better looking product listing? I plan on having a best sellers category in the center frame on the main page and wanted to make it look as pleasing as possible..

 

Anyhow, let me know what you guys think of the site!

I feel your main navigation is to big. It is fairly prominent on your site.

 

Everything else is simple.

I'd have to agree, I'd want to see it a bit smaller & other then that, it's coming along pretty good!

I agree as well. Navigation is somewhat oversize.

I'll be different and say I like the nav. It's bold and fits the site (mace and stun guns etc). But the design of the nav make it look like a pattern and hard to read. Plus, the way it splits the category names makes them look like 2 separate categories.

 

The logo up top looks lonely all by itself. Try adding a background to it to see how it looks.

Hi,

 

For the navigation, if the category title is only one word i.e. SAFES, place the writing directly on top of the red line.

 

Because of the size of the nav buttons I would recomend that you alternate the colours of the text on the bottons for easy reading, otherwise try to downsize the text and put all words only on one line only(note you may have to condense the descriptions i.e. "SURVEILLANCE" instead of "SPY AND SURVEILLANCE".

 

Theres to much space on either side of the top logo.

If you are going to leave the Navigation that size or close to it . u may want to make your info box headers on the right hand side , Larger and then make the Text in the Headers larger--- Shopping Cart-- Information . That way it will all blend together more and go ahead and lose the info about errors just leave the top greeting until you go live
