sdamos Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 When a purchase is made from my store it displays the store name as the item purchased in paypal. How do I make it so that it actually carries over the item name being purchased and shows that in paypal after the purchase is made? Thanks, Shannon
sdamos Posted August 3, 2004 Author Posted August 3, 2004 Someone please help me with this, I know there is a simple answer. Thanks, Shannon
sch Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 There may be other ways but I know that the PayPal IPN Contribution will do this because I've just installed it and I now get the items listed in the paypal invoice. Simon
sdamos Posted August 3, 2004 Author Posted August 3, 2004 I just downloaded the contribution, but the instructions for installation are a bit beyond me. The part I have the most problem with is the PHPmyadmin activities. Everything else seems to be simple looking, find and replace, etc. However, how do I do all this table changing in phpmyadmin? Thanks, Shannon
sch Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 There are 2 parts to the phpmyadmin installation - with the first part you have to execute 3 SQL commands. I just copied them from the installation instructions and pasted them into a SQL window - depending on what version of phpmyadmin you've got installed if you select a table you should get a tab called 'SQL' which will let you execute sql commands by typing them into a window. This tab should also let you do the 2nd part of the installation by specifying a file containing SQL commands that need to be run - there should be a field letting you specify a filename which will then be executed. For the php code, I was lucky in that I was close enough to a base install to be able to just extract the files from the misc directory in the zip file and just install them straight to my server!
sdamos Posted August 3, 2004 Author Posted August 3, 2004 Cool, I may be able to do it now. Please stay tuned for further questions. I am already on step 2. Going to call it a night before copy, pasting, etc. Later, Shannon
sdamos Posted August 9, 2004 Author Posted August 9, 2004 Well, I have installed the contribution, but still yet when I put a test item in and pretend to purchase it, when I get to paypal instead of having the ITEM NAME in the payment for line it shows my store name. How can I get it to actually show the item so then when I get a payment from paypal I actually know what the heck they purchased? Thanks for any help you can provide. Shannon
