How To offer Free Trial

Good Afternoon All,

 

I'd like to offer a free trial for my customers, but still capture their information in the database.

 

I figured that the easiest way to do this in osC was to set the "product" price to $0.00 . However, That still takes the customer to the credit card payment page, which is unnecessary.

 

Do you have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I dont know exactly what you are after as the details are a little vague but try download controller, this will allow products to have free shipping and free amount.

i have a trial of my product available for download. I would still like to capture the information of the people downloading the trial as well, so I put it as another "product" in osCommerce's catalog, only the price was 0.00.

 

However, I would like them to be able to enter in their information for downloading purposes, and then be shown the download link w/out having to go thru the credit card page.

 

is that a little clearer?
