Guest Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 you do the same thing, however you need to know the database name, user name and password. if localhost doesnt work after all of that, then try using the ip address. most hosts dont allow that though, as it causes a potential threat if you have easy passwords/usernames.
241 Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 This information should be supplied to you by your host. No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. Individual: [=] SME: [==] Corporation: [===] If deposit does not fit one of the slots provided then you are asking too much! Is your Osc dated try Phoenix raising oscommerce from the ashes.
sch Posted July 31, 2004 Posted July 31, 2004 I'd try leaving it as localhost - one thing to think about though, has the db been created at the remote end?

telmari Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Means most likely you need to go to to those files, via your admin tool or server console and set permissions on those files to the ones stated, in this case set them to 706.
