%22 char in database after 2.1 -> 2.2 Upgrade

Recently upgraded a development copy of a 2.1 store to 2.2 and have found that many of the image specifications in both the products and categories tables now have an extraneous %22 character (a double quote) at the end of the image name that wasn't there -- at least as far as I can tell -- before. Anyone see this before and if so, are there any already written fixes?
