Move Catalog to "Root"

I have a clean and fairly simple install of OSC. The site is hosted on a server, so the "www" directory "looks like" root to me.

I installed using the defaults and have realized that this limits me greatly in what I want to accomplish with the site. What would be the steps involved in "migrating" the whole structure up a notch, so that the main catalog files are within that "www" directory and my OSC index.php becomes the index for the entire site.

I could conceivably blow this off and start over if necessary, but I'd rather not.

Thank you,

Anne

It is pretty simple. After you move your files up to where you want them all you need to do is change your two configure.php files to match the new location.

includes/configure.php

admin/includes/configure.php

If you look at the setting now you can see where the changes will need to be made. If you are moving the site up to the root you would just change

www.yourdomain.com/catalog

to

www.your domain.com/
