On the main page where it says Welcome guest blah blah blah and where the whats new icon is. How do I modify the text to my own and get rid of that image icon?

What do I upload to the main directory to reflect www.worldenchantments.com without the oscommerce2? Did that make sense?

make a index.shtml file and upload it in your root directory.

inside the .shtml file use this code:

<!--#include file="oscommerce2/index.php"-->

 

 

when some 1 types www.yoursite.com it will go straight there and not /catalog/.....

To move your store into the root directory, you simply need to move the files to the root directory and adjust your configure.php files to reflect that.

 

Using a redirect file (as roby2004 suggested) would be functional, but not the best way - I suspect it would not help your search engine rankings.
