phphelp Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 a lot of things can go wrong, please check your file direction, make sure you file name is correct, make sure you set up the right premission for the image folder
sliique Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 Thx for the response. File name absolutely correct. I know nothing about permission for image folder. I never had any problem getting the image to show on my website and also had it showing with a Paypal Cart. I still cannot get it to work.

"Products URL: (without http://)" I do not think it was meant for an image link.
sliique Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 Thanks for the response. Exactly which "slot" should I be putting the URL of the image in? Maybe this is the whole kit and kaboodle of my problem.

Products Image: is the field but you cannot add a link. It must be the path to the image on your computer which it then adds to the catalog/images folder
sliique Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 Again, thanks for the response. My images are on my Host's Server, not on my computer. So, I assume, that after changing the CHMOD to 777 on my image folder, the pics would show? Not so. Now, I wonder, am I supposed to enclose the image URL in " marks? Or, www.jacksdogs.com/cats/feline123.jpg with no quotes?

Perhaps someone with more experience can say how to make this work without doing the above. It seems that osc has to have the images in its own image folder as I tried linking to outside images in a couple of other instances and got the dreaded red x
sliique Posted July 30, 2004 Author Posted July 30, 2004 Thanks even more. Where can I download that image folder, please? And, where, exactly, do I put it on my Host? Thanks for all your help.

The osc image folder is in www.your_domain.com/catalog/images if you did a default install. You would download the images you need from your client's server, or copy them over to the osc image folder.
sliique Posted July 31, 2004 Author Posted July 31, 2004 I see no "catalog," etc. I do see /cgi-bin/ecommerce/ac/html/images and commerce/admin/images However, there is no folder, anywhere in my public_html folder specifically labelled OsCommerce. I wonder why that is, too. Guess I'll call my uncooperative Host.
