billybrag Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 hi thi doesnt really have anything to do with oscommerce, it is simply posted here because i respect the views of te people on here. what i need a bit of help with is finding another, open source solution to another problem. A couple of mates and i want to set up a fairly simple site that is "based around" friends reunited, basically like a notice board kind of thing where people register, there are notice boards etc etc, but i cant find anything! any suggestions at all? and by the way it is called biffs reunited, and is for people who have been injured, im trying come up with logo ideas too, i was thinking some kind of road sign adaptation.... if anyone has any ideas on that, it would be great cheers mike sorry if this annoys hardcore members but it is after all general chitchat :) "because it'll hurt more"- the greatest film of all time?

Hunkah Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 When the new phpbb comes out (whenever that is?!) It can double as what you are looking for. It will have custom fields that you can make for people to use. For example you can put in their phone mumber. And with all the other ad-ons it will be perfect for that task. I myself am waiting for this release to happen for the same reason. I have not found a better tool for the job as of yet, but I like phpbb and don't feel like I can find one better.
