Mark-UK Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 OK im totally clueless to this but how do i add the options for my clothes on my site like size, colour etc. Also can you set any options for an item your selling at all ie if i sold rope, how long a length the buyer wants etc. Thankyou.
craigglawson Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 If you go into the admin part of your OScommerce, and go to product attributes, you firstly enter the type, so for example "colour", then you set "colour" as "blue" and then lower, select the product u want to be "blue" and at what price, if extra ... Too close for missiles, I'm switching to guns ...
Mark-UK Posted July 29, 2004 Author Posted July 29, 2004 Do you have to do this individually for each product I have, i mean if i have clothes and shoes and so on do i have to manually change the attributes for each item i add to my site.
Geordie Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Hi Mark, I'm no expert with osComm but I'd imagine that you would have to add an entry for each specific product in each colour/size , etc. As each respective item needs a unique entry into the database. Cheers, Geordie
Mark-UK Posted July 29, 2004 Author Posted July 29, 2004 But once youve done that can you keep it as a template or setting so say if you add another pair of jeans you simply select the trousers size option settings and if you add a pair of shoes you select the shoe size settings so once youve added the first type of options selections you have them on record to select when adding more clothes later.
Geordie Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Hi Mark, I think it would work like thta once you have a set of product attributes set as a template of sorts yes. Hopefully one of the MySQL gurus will clarify this? ;) Cheers, Geordie
organicmom Posted August 5, 2004 Posted August 5, 2004 I need this as well. I am not understanding how to use as template.
