babel Posted July 28, 2004 Posted July 28, 2004 After going through numerous threads - trying to solve a problem -- i'm hoping someone has the solution to this problem... i have a dedicated ip address for my ssl i set up a www.mysite.com directory as suggested now when I go to install the osCommerce it won't let me install into the www.mysite.com folder -- it wants to install in the public folder -- which is not secure under mysite.com -- this is the only option is site.com from the drop down menu... fine i thought I'd go for the manual install -- so I can get https://www.mysite.com there is a problem though with the database installation -- access denied using password is yes however... now i have seen others with this problem however no one has actually come up with a solution -- Anyone please your response will be deeply appreciated as it's only been about three days of aggravation for me :blink: thank you babel :) Just another newbie... :)
