Guest Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 hello there,... with a fair ammount of help from your forum ive managed to run the install succesfully and have the index.php page up on my laptop looking and functioning (apparently ) fine... i do however have a warning message.. the warning is:- i am able to write to the configeration file: c:Programme Files/Apache Group/Apache2/htdocs/ catalog/includes/configure.php. this is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. i'll try to give some background info... during the install i was denied access to localhost as user larry@localhost , so after reading about someone elses attempts i did the same but didnt use a password and it all worked fine. my password is 'redd' and my user is 'larry' im assuming these are the user and passwords that are required only because they are the ones i put into 'WinMySQLadmin' programme when i set up mysql... On a more positive note im well impressed with wat ive seen so far,... what a great bit of open source effort... ta v.much....
