ebee Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 Right, recently setup a store with osCommerce, and I don't know if I was right or not assuming that it would automatically send emails out when someone ordered goods... when someone places an order ( me at the moment ) it is sending out the usual 'order process' mail to me OK, however, there is nothing coming back to the store owner to say 'Mr X has ordered..' etc if you see what i'm getting at here... the guy that will be running the store is not the most memorable of people and he'd no doubt forget to check the reports daily etc and it would be much easier if it mailed him with every order.. i sthis possible with the vanilla product or do I need another module or similar ?? also, can the invoices, etc be changed to show the product ID that has been purchased, in the store we have several 'universal bonnet vents' for cars, and these just show as 'universal bonnet vent' and it would be a lot easier to be able to click on a product ID, etc and see the product, rather than contact the buyer to confirm... forgive me if i'm missing the finer points on this, but it's the first install ( of many i'm hoping ) thanks in advance for your help.... Ian
rcmdesign Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Look in the configuration tab of the admin area for the answer to your first question. Look for send extra order emails and then input your email there. Everytime a customer orders something, it will send you a confirmation email also with the details. This should contain the product ID to answer your second question...
