May sound dumb

This may sound a bit dumb, but i have the gross price in the admin and it changes to a value which i can not seem to trace where the percentage comes from [i guess it is a percentage?]

 

And how to edit it to a value which suits me ? [i think it is something one need so i would also want yo be able to change it]

I believe it is the net price plus sales tax.

as bobc this is price plus tax. the tax is the percentage and can be set in the tax part of admin

well that is what i was thinking, but in that case i don't understand it at all .

 

I have set my tax at 19%

 

However when i fill in a product at 7 Eur

 

The gross amount it displays when i fill this in however comes up as 9,66 Eur which is a 38 percent increase in stead of 19% !!!

 

Any clues what is causing this ?

hehehe, i did, but i already know how to add tax classes, since i am already running a webshop from oscommerce for several years.

 

I am now busy with the new one which is based on osc ms 2.2 , which introduced the gross option, and presentns me with this [seems to be] 2x tax issue.

 

I have exported and imported my tax classes and products etc fro my old shop into the new one, so everything should be okay.

 

I just don't understan where it gets its 38 percent from since i have not a single tax class with 38 percent in it, only 19 percent ones.

Okay, found it, problem solved.

 

There has been a slight change in approach regarding taxes between the old shop based on cvs 2.2 and the ms 2.2 [i ahd several groups carying thesame tax but in different tax classes, but it added up 2 of them whch where both at 19% hence the 38 question]

 

Anywayz, all seems okay again :)
