breedingexotics Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 I was wondering if any one knows how to get an SSL ? where my web site is they have it but not for my use which I cant complain because it was a good deal but I do how ever want to get it for my web store is it necessary to have I only take paypal payments and off-line payments ? any help on this topic would be great thanks!
babel Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 usually your host can issue your ssl certificate -- you need to have your own dedicated ip address... which is about $1.50 to $2.00 per month... talk to your host about it or consider one who provides this service.... hope this helps :) babel Just another newbie... :)
dinohaven Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Actually, this question brings up another question: Why does my admin page say "You are NOT protected by a secure SSL conection", but when the customer enters a credit card, the url is "HTTPS://" and a lock is displayed at the bottom right.
