ladyamalthea Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 Ok the main page for my shopping cart is displaying the red higlighted error message "Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file." How do I go about doing this? Also, how do i edit page texts and get the front page the way that I want if to look. For editing the text, it says that it can be modified in a file:[path to catalog]/includes/languages/english/index.php but I'd prefer to do it an easier way if possible.
stevel Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 The Knowledge Base has an item on the warning, but its advice is rather cryptic and incomplete. If it doesn't help you, my "Protection of Configuration" contribution helps with this. I don't know how you want the front page to look. You can edit the text as specified, including HTML, or you can edit index.php directly and insert your HTML there, replacing the code that references TEXT_MAIN.
