Is there any quick way to load products

Hello,

 

I have a load of product images along with a spreadsheet of all the details on that product the way it works at the moment is I go into the Catalog Add Products section and then I do a search on the spread sheet to find the product (this is the products JPG name eg 1234.jpg so I search for 1234 on the spreadsheet and then I get to the line with the info on) I then add the product by cutting and pasting the product name and price.

 

I can do about 40 products in about 1hr but I was hoping that someone could tell me of a more automated way of adding products. I have 1000's I need to add.

 

I have looked at easypopulate but this looks all strange and I can not see how this works becuase I open the database.CSV up in excel and it is all jumbled up.

 

Hope all the above makes sense

 

Any help would be great and might save me from going mad.

Look into navicat, Free trial.

Use easy populate contrib.

when using easy populate, you go into the admin, export the products using easy populate to a text file then open that up in excel. Works great, easy to use. Highly recommended.
