Trichome Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I am looking for a one page checkout (at least the starting point) that includes the 'Log In' feature as well as account creation. I have one, but it is for the Exchange Project. Let's face it, many people are turned-off by the whole 'Create Account' process. They just want to buy something, not give a blood sample in the process. The old one I have just combines the login and account creation pages. All other aspects of the checkout are OK. I am willing to post the page that I already have and are just trying to upgrade our store.

People notice the same problem that many people leave because of the account create, so they started working on a solution. I think they had it where during checkout when you put in your mailing address that information would be used to create your new account. and it gives you the option to log in if you have ordered from the store before. I can't find the thread again. If you find it, post it here so others can be forwarded to the thread in progress.

Sounds like you are refering to the login ala amazon contribution. not sure it does exactly what you want.
