fleeced Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Shared SSL-it works and then it doesn't!! Has anyone got shared ssl working perfectly on their site? If so please post the PHP code so I can see what goes where, there are so many different threads that all seem to be different in the forums. Do I need to change any other files apart from includes/configure.php? Please help!!
zerodash Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 I'm having a similar problem. I know that the catalog/includes/configure.php AND the admin/includes/configure.php need to be altered. However, when I did so, my admin page was "not found" and my store still had no SSL. I wish someone made a percise step-by-step checklist/guide to setting up SSL...all the info is spread out over tons of old threads...
AlanR Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 It's very difficult to find problems without links to the site. Many, many, people have it working perfectly in just a few minutes. Usually it's some simple thing that some people seem to refuse to recognize. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
fleeced Posted July 22, 2004 Author Posted July 22, 2004 The checkout is fine it goes to padlock and I go secure. The products are still in the cart so the cookie path must be right. I can create an account too. The problem appears to be when I go to log in, the page goes to "page not found"- however if you refresh the page the site loads whilst still secure and I am now logged in. It appears to be getting lost on the re-direct after log in.
devilj Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 fleeced, Check out my thread at: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=103709 This is how I got my ssl to work. My ssl server is on my web server however, I would think it may work on a shared ssl. Please let me know if this helps. I am a newbie not only to oscommerce but to the linux world. I have been frustrated by a lack of "simple" answers to questions by newbies and I can understand that. I would be really interested in putting together a "Things all newbies should know about osCommerce" document.
