Feedbag Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 I want to change the way the layout is when you click on a product category or a brand name. Right now it simply lists them straight down in three column format. What file is this template in? Thank you so much.
madyson3 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Two places that I know you can change it. 1.) In the admin panel you can change how many catagory images to display per row. Go to Configuration->Maximum Values->Categories to list per row. 2.) You can change the whole layout in catalog\index.php HTH. I wanted a more thumbnail or overstock.com look so I used the contribution: listing module. Guest Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 You might also want to check out the excellent STS template system in the contribution section, if you've a bit of experiene using an HTML editor it can make picking up and placing boxes and other structures on your page a lot easier, but I don't reccoment it to complete begginners. As for templates slowing things down I can only speak for the STS template system - and I have not noticed any change - possibly stripping out unrequired items might even have the reverse effect possibly?
