Easy populate

Can anyone tell me how to add a field that is in the DB to the export and import functions of the EP?

 

Also, my main problem is here:

 

I have an on-line store that sells motorcycle parts and accessories.

The product model is the part # and Product name is for the bike application that this part fits on.

 

My problem is that several items have the same Product Model but for different application.

ex: part # CTL-0026 fits the 98-04 Shadow Spirit 1100 but also fits the 99-04 CBR 1100XX

 

and also the other way around, the 99-01 CBR600RR can have Product Model # CTL-0032 and CTL-0022

 

My issue is, you may see it right off the bat, when a Product model # exist and I setup a new application with the same product model #, if I upload the EP text file it wont add the new application. It will modify the existing one. So this eliminates some items from my store or does not add the new ones I want.

 

Is it possible to tell EP NOT to update items seen on the .txt file but simply add them as a new item or better yet, can anyone think of a different way to do this?

 

I have over 3000 items to add, AND DON'T WANNA DO THEM ALL BY HAND !

I basicaly want to add 1 column " products_id " and base the functions for add or update on this column, because this column is alway unique..... right?
