osCommerce

The e-commerce.

Hi

Could somebody please help point me in the right direction.

I have spent a long, long time looking into a lot of the different available payment gateways which are available and I am unsure as to which one will suit my needs.

I am looking for a payment gateway which can be used from the UK which seamlessly integrates into osCommerce. I do not want the customers to be able to tell that they have left the site (or prehaps they never will leave the site) so I have a few questions...

1.) To do everything in oSc, am I correct in assuming I need a SSL certificate etc... and it will be a lot more hassle (I have no experience in this area).

2.) If I go for a payment gateway which takes the customer off-site such as SECPay (which you can 100% customise the look) or ePDQ, can I then contain that page within an inline-frame on the site so it looks as if it is part of the site and would it be hard to make this modification to oSc.

3.) If anyone has been in this same situation and has solved it, could you advise plus possibly post a link to site so I can see payment system in operation.

I would be very grateful if anybody could point me in the right direction as I have been pulling my hair out over the last few weeks trying to decide which route to take.

Thank you in advance...

Dave :(

Thanks again

you can use the default cc module installed with oscommerce.

this works ok but you would need a ssl certicate. we use 'Thawte' to get ours.

the prob with the cc module is that it doesnt accet all cc card types. i have been looking for a solution to this for a while but no luck finding one yet...

always here to offer some useless advice....
