aggar1 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 If you are going to process a credit card payment yourself on a card machine you have which module do you use? thank you Quote
Arcadiauk Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 I too am looking for this info. I am currently developing an online shop for the company I work for and we already have a credit card machine. Is there a module that will store the credit card details in the database for process later or is it best to get a merchant account and have the card processed by them. Derek Quote
mugitty Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 The stock cc.php module that comes with osC does this. You should, at the very least, select the option that splits the credit card number, emailing you the middle 8 digits and keeping the others in the database. The are also some encryption contributions that you may want to consider. Arcadiauk Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Thanks mugitty That is just what we were looking for, and to think, it was staring me in the face all the time. Derek Quote
jpool Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 (edited) and is this legal? i e : spliting the number and store the clients info on a db? Also: how can you get the CC billing adress to have a security check? thanks j. Edited July 26, 2004 by jpool Quote
gazzzzzza Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 i believe it is legal as you are not storing the whole cc number in the database it doesnt work too well thogh as it only accepts a few types of cc number. switch does not work. Quote always here to offer some useless advice....
gazzzzzza Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 i just installed a contribution called "Switch 1.5" http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,71/ it seems to allow all of the credit card options :D I suggest you give that a go It is not hard to install either and validation seems to work well for switch although i have not been able to test all the other types of card... Quote always here to offer some useless advice....
