inserting products is super slow

I am having issues with the speed for uploading products from the admin control panel. So far I have added 10 products to the site and the upload time is 40 secs for each one. OUCH!!!!

As a test I tried with no images just plain text and same thing. 40 secs! I have built other oscommerce sites and this has never happened. I am using ms2.2 cvs.

Can someone guide me to improve the performance on the product uploading???

thanks and I agree. However, I don't think there should be such a lag time for uploading. Also like I first stated, the store right now only has 10 items added and I have built similar sites with zero delay on the upload side. I have also tested out the server and that doesn't appear to be the issue. Once again thanks about the easy populate advice. I will use it eventually but I would like the work out this upload time issue first.
