Guest Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Ok everything was working great, I backed up everything and installed a mod and the thing stoped showing tax and shipping so I restored my backup and still it won't show the shipping and tax. So I deleted them and tried again and nogo, so I restored an old copy of the sql and it worked but the down side to that is that I have over 500 products and the old copy didn't have all the products or customers so I had to go to the updated sql backup and got those same errors again. Guest Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 go into your latest sql file and remove the modified tables from the contribution you installed. ok now a word of advice, never modify a live shopping cart if you dont know what the contribution is going to work or not. do the modification on a development site (your own local computer in front of you) then transfer the files to a test server on your web server, which is a different directory than your live store. once all testing works, then late at nite make the switch over, when there is less of a chance someone is purchasing any products.

I don't remember what the mod was and have been giving free shipping and no tax for florida like I should for a long time. I would like to fix this but don't have a clue how. I have tried changing the order that it adds stuff up in but nogo. When someone goes to checkout they get a sub-total and a total. It will take off coupons though. I just don't know what to do. I'm at a real loss here. Any ideas out there?
