stevel Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Google, MSN, Yahoo and a bunch of other spiders have indexed all my store, and I haven't done much more than add the "All Products" contribution. I do note that Google, in particular, indexes my category and product pages less often than other pages, but it does so every week or two, so it's no problem (my pages rarely change.) koie Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Perhaps a long shot..Have you installed the 'automatic login' contribution. When I had this one installed search engines were not able to read my page. When I turned it off the problems were gone.
211655 Posted August 1, 2004 Author Posted August 1, 2004 no. whats that.? i think i never did. they just come an dindex one page and thats it. and despite the fact that i get hits. this is wierd. i have all product contr. and catalog with pictures, both installed and are working fine so it should work. it never does. anyone has problem because using sts template and each page having same title or so? 211655 SEO Optimization Export Orders into CSV file
Mark-UK Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Perhaps a long shot..Have you installed the 'automatic login' contribution. When I had this one installed search engines were not able to read my page. When I turned it off the problems were gone. whats this mean, what does it do, tell me more pleaese kind sir. Is this a proven thing for search engines and oscommerce software.
koie Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 Not that I know of. I installed this contribution so when customers return to the shop they do not have to login. This is done automaticaly. However, I noticed that this gave problems with reading the page by google. So 1+1=2...I figured...perhaps this is the problem. Like I said. Just a long shot.
211655 Posted August 2, 2004 Author Posted August 2, 2004 any other thoughts why all search engines are doing so. i mean all of my pages have link back to main page so there is no blank age on the site. 211655 SEO Optimization Export Orders into CSV file
