cgchris99 Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Anyone using easy populate to get froogle data feed and getting good froogle search engine positioning? I have been trying to experiment with the data sent to improve the position but I am not gaining any ground. I am consistantly at the bottom of the list for my products. Even the ones that are the cheapest price. I know if I hit price low to high then I will be first. But I want to be toward the top for both lists. Anyone having any success and how did you accomplish it. I'm sure PR is taking into consideration but my store is already a PR5. Thanks for any help or advice Quote
cgchris99 Posted July 25, 2004 Author Posted July 25, 2004 It sure looks like everyone is interested in good froogle feeds...LOL I guess I am the only one using it or everyone else is getting pretty good results. Quote
Guest Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 I use the froogle data feeder (offshoot of easypopulate) for my froogle feeds. To be honest, I haven't checked its effectiveness in a long time - - I just know that my feeds are accepted. -jared Quote
Guest Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 lots use froogle, lots use the easy populate froogle. reason you dont get responses is you need to post (if using easy populate) at the end of the easy populate support thread, and if using the froogle application, then you need to post at the end of the froogle support thread. cgchris99 Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 With the infamous search capabilities of this board, I cannot find the froogle support thread. If you happen to know the link please post it. I'll then post my question on the thread and then probably get yelled at for the duplicate post. Sorry, kinda frustrated. Quote

Thanks for any help or advice I haven't done any research into Froogle specifically, but since it is operated by google, I suspect it follows the same guidelines. The product that is most relevant to the search is displayed first. This means that you will need to follow standard SE rules to improve your placement. You should - make sure the title of the page is the name of the product - place the product name in an H1 tag - have lots of text on the page relating to the product with the product mentioned several times, in bold, if possible I'm sure there are more I am forgetting ATM. You can do a search here or on the web for other SEO techniques. Your PR won't mean anything unless there is another site's product that has the same relevancy as yours. Then the PR will be used to decide which goes first.
