Where people pay to view certain parts of the site. (I hope this is clear) Anyways, searching the internet I came across osCommerce and I was wondering, if this program can do this for me. Maybe someone can help me out here?? Thanx

Thanx It sounds like you're trying to say you want to sell access to porn, b/c you're actually being a bit ambiguous. ;) I don't know if osC is really ideal for selling memberships but sure, it can do it.

Whatever I'm selling is not the issue here or your concern ;) I really don't have to explain what my business is in detail in order to get an answer. I'm looking for a script so I can sell memberships, period. You say osC can do it.....then why wouldn't it be ideal, after all it's free and seems to be a good script. All the other ones I've seem cost $$$ If someone out there can help me, please try and give me a straight answer, don't act like the guys in MWP's forum typing a bunch of nonsense answers just because they don't know what the hell they're doing. A clear answer would be nice. :)

I assume that you are looking for a system to manage memberships and restrict access to a "special section" of your site. osCommerce is designed to sell physical and downloadable products. (It actually handles downloads very nicely although I do not use it). I've seen osCommerce used to sell web hosting and sell homes so "anything is possible". However, I do not believe that osCommerce is the right tool for you. Out of the box, you will not be able to use it to maintain memberships and prevent the browsing of the restricted areas.
