SiliconFusion Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 I have the original template installed, (as I have only ust installed osCommerce) would it be alright under the terms of copyright to delet the banner, but leave every thing else? thanks b34ch3r
Guest Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 My understanding is that under opensource you can do whatever customisations you like ..
SiliconFusion Posted July 20, 2004 Author Posted July 20, 2004 How would I also go about doing this.lol
Guest Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Hehehe, this is the one eyed man guiding the blind this is .. :P In the 'catalog/includes' directory lives a file named 'header.php' ... All I did was use my ftp proggie to open to edit that file changing the original oscomm graphic and graphic text to my own bits as hi-lited in blue ... <td valign="middle"><?php echo '<a href="' . tep_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '">' . tep_image(DIR_WS_IMAGES . 'VW_Logo_transp.gif', 'Vending Warehouse') . '</a>'; ?></td> I then uploaded my own graphic to the images directory and it all worked fine :) Best advice is ALWAYS back up before doing any fugging around.
