kanejone Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Hi I'm working for a charity and they want to implement a system where people can firstly buy books off them and secondly make a donation without actually purchasing anything(these can be anomyous) ? Is this solution suitable for such an application. Thanks for your help and advice. J

If you wanted people to be able to make donations w/o actually buying anything you could make items like Platinum Gift, Gold Gift, etc (recalled form the horrible memories of my telemarketing days many years ago). Donations will never be anonymous if made via credit card though. ;)
msink Posted August 1, 2004 Posted August 1, 2004 The problem Im having is how not to charge shipping on donations. No luck yet. OSC applieds 3.50 shipping, even though my tables say 0 weight = $0 shipping... anyone?

I said up to .9 lbs = free, Donations have 0 weight, other prods have weight, but you must set the Tare weight to 0. That is found in Configuration -> Shipping/Packaging mark

I people to be able to donate and not have to pay shipping. Any ideas? well.. i just figured it out... I just did this. I use a Table for shipping.
