Store Icon in Browser Navigation Toolbar

I have noticed that when I go to many sites (ex: amazon or oscommerce) the site or store logo or icon appears in my brower's naviagtion toolbar as well as in the the navigation tabs. This may be a simple question but what piece of code or setting do I need to set to make this happen with my store logo?

fwiw, mozilla/firefox (perhaps the other gecko-based browsers like safari and such) put the favicon in the URL line even if you *haven't* bookmarked the website.
