RWTD Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Please forgive me for being a "newb". I have a company installing everything for me, but unfortunately I can't get ahold of them right now. I absolutely need to turn off the ability of people to register and order until the site is completely finished. Is there any simple "on/off" button in the Admin setup that I have not found? Any possible way to display a message, too? Sorry, but I'm used to the ease of vBulletin. I thank you in advance for help on this matter. Regards, James
scotte Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I know of no such button, however you could either, rename the index.php page to something else like index_.php And put your own page up with simple html code in it. <html><head><title>Sorry Not Avaliable</title></head><body>Sorry we are not avliable yet. The site is currently under design, come back soon!!</body><head> Save this code in a txt editor then rename the file outside the editor to install.php (by right clicking) It will say something like "Changing this extension could make the file unstable are you sure" say yes now upload it into the catalog folder. DONE!
