Simple Question!

Hi folks,

 

Would really appreciate an answer to this question. My friend and I are setting up a software publishing site using this client. We have a number of questions that we were very much unsure about.

 

- After the user has entered his/her credit details, what happens next?

 

- After the user has entered these credit details, is it possible to create automated emails for the users to access their downloads they just purchased?

 

We will be offering several products, and obviously we can?t send out the same instructions for download every time for every product, so we need to determine what was bought, and then get the system to automatically send out the instructions- can we do this?

After they enter their details, what happens next depends on the payment processor you choose.

 

Download links are presented to the client immediately after payment. The links are also contained within their account profile at this point.

 

You can limit the number of times the item is downloaded via admin, which is also where you setup the filename, etc for the downlaod details. For install instructions (for instance), it would be best to include them in a ZIP file along with the actual software.

 

There are mods out there for automatically issuing serial numbers as well (if needed) but I am not sure if those mods have been posted publicly or not.
