TBK3 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Has anyone out there had this problem or know of a fix/work-around? I've had a half-dozen e-mails, but am afraid I may have lost more.

kepa Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 For me, AOL users can shop but they may have problems checking out. Is this what is happening on your site? For me, it's because during checkout, the email is sent before the transaction is sent back to me completing the order. This email is rejected because of spam blocking on AOL and a few other ISPs. Thus, the order is never completed on my end (I don't get an order in admin because the connection has been aborted), even though the customer believes it has gone through. In fact, none of my AOL customer get my newsletters, gift vouchers, or automatically generated emails becuase it is considered spam by their blockers. I haven't figured out a workaround for this mess, so if someone else has, please let us know...
Guest Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 There are three possible causes for this. 1) Your ISP's public ip address range is in a blacklist. You can find more information and I think also check to see if yours is on the list here. http://www.spam-blockers.com/SPAM-blacklists.htm 2) Your relaying your emails. Some ISP/spam blockers do reverse dns lookups to verify that the email originates from within the senders domain. I think your ISP should be able to provide more help on this. 3) OsCommerce is just not liked by the Spam blocker/ISP. :) Hope that helps! "There is no try. There is only do or do not". -Yoda
