SHANX6336 Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Hey everybody, I continue to have this problem on this web site. Basically, when a user goes from a non-secure area to a secure area (with https://), an Internet Explorer dialogue box pops up and asks if you want to know if you want the non-secure items to load. You can view the web site and try it yourself here: http://www.eopticalnerve.com/catalog/index.php I searched through pages to see if I am linking to a non-secure image (i.e. http://www.domain.com/image.gif), because in most cases that's how I see messages like this. Does anyone know what the souce of the problem is? I have been really struggling with this and it makes shopping on the site very difficult. Thanks!
AlanR Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 I went to the site and went to the create account page and got the padlock just fine. Then I went to the main page using https and I got the padlock just fine. Are you confusing browser prefs with site problems? I have the warning which would pop up when going from non secure to secure and vice versa turned off in prefs, I always do since it will pop up on any site going from one side to the other and it's a waste of time. SHANX6336 Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 I really appreciate you going to the site and testing it out. When I click on Create an Account a popup reads: This page contains both secure and nonsecure items. Do you want to display the nonsecure items? And then YES NO MORE DETAILS Do you see this?

No, I just went back and went all the way to create_account.php (with all the customer fields) and I get the padlock every time as soon as the images finish loading. My browser and system (Mac OS 9 / IE) seems to be more strict than many since I see problems when others often do not so I'm puzzled. Guest Posted July 16, 2004 Posted July 16, 2004 Your problem is your flash banner You have a url http://active.macromedia.com try to change it to https The_Bear
SHANX6336 Posted July 16, 2004 Author Posted July 16, 2004 You have absolutely no idea how much you helped me! :D I went back and you're right, it was the flash banner that was causing the problems. I didn't realize that would effect the SSL. Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
