HTMLguru2 Posted July 15, 2004 Posted July 15, 2004 I can't seem to get this to work correctly... I have 3 shipping modules installed: FedEx (for USA), CanadaPost (Canada), and USPS (Military). All of the modules are working properly. Within the module config' is an option "Shipping Zone If a zone is selected, only enable this shipping method for that zone.". I set up 3 tax zones: USA/Country:USA/Zones:All Zones Canada/Country:Canada/Zones:All Zones FPO / APO Military/Country:FPO - APO/Zones:All Zones (I set this one up within countries) When I select Shipping Zone:Canada for Canada Post module it doesn't show up at all. Neither the others. I want to be able to offer only the shipping method appropriate to that customer. What am I doing wrong? Jeff
bglkk Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 Hi. Do you really need a separate shipping module for APO? I need UPS for the USA and Canada only, and USPS only for International and APO orders. I've got a tax zone "N. America" with Canada (All Zones) and the U.S. (All Zones), and another tax zone "World" with a bunch of countries (All Zones) *and* United States (Armed Forces Africa), United States (Armed Forces Europe, United States (Guam), and so on. For UPS, I use the N. America zone, for USPS I use World. I've only done a couple of test orders for APO, but no problems so far. The cool thing that I didn't expect is that for an APO order, USPS options are available and UPS shows "The requested service is invalid from the selected origin. If you prefer to use UPS as your shipping method, please contact the store owner. " That's perfect, since UPS doesn't ship to APO. "Buy the ticket, take the ride..." -HST
HTMLguru2 Posted July 19, 2004 Author Posted July 19, 2004 We do not want to ship UPS into Canada because the added cost to the consumer (up to twice the cost of Canada Post). In order to be compeditive we need to keep delivery cost down. Also, sense we ship from our second warehouse inside Canada to Canada we can't use USPS. We need directed shipping methods based on the consumers destination. Can I control that with "Shipping Zone" in the shipping modules? Jeff
