layers in infobox heading

I would like to use layers to overlay the text in the infoboxes. There is an image in each of the headers and the image is stretched in the header whereever text apears. Therefor I would like to stretch all of the images in the headers so this flaw is not noticable.

 

This is the current css I am using:

font-family: Verdana, Arial, sans-serif;

font-size: 10px;

font-weight: bold;

color: #ffffff;

background: AF1080 url(images/bar_infoboxheading.jpg) repeat-x left top;

}

 

 

What should I do?
